How I Practice

My Approach

At Quiet Medicine, sessions are calm, spacious, and anchored in gentle craniosacral therapy. We begin with a brief check-in, then shift to the table—most of our time is spent there, unhurried but focused.

My role is to create the conditions your nervous system needs to soften, unwind tension, and settle—to calm the body and quiet the noise. Nothing is rushed or forced. Your body leads, and we follow its pace.

We also take a few moments at the end of each session to check in and integrate before you head back into your day.

My Role as a Practitioner

I bring a blend of clinical training, research experience, and thoughtful, attentive presence to this work. As a naturopathic doctor with 20 years of experience in integrative medicine, I understand how the body functions, where it holds tension, and how stress or certain illnesses can shape its patterns over time.

This knowledge is the foundation of how I see things—but it doesn’t drive the session. I don’t try to fix everything at once or offer long protocols. Instead, I meet your system with curiosity, patience, and respect for its pace, prioritizing calm and grounded over rushed or overwhelmed.

Years of clinical experience—and my own experience navigating chronic illness—have taught me that meaningful change happens slowly and sustainably. My role is to support that process, not push it beyond what your system can comfortably hold.

With this in mind, here’s how naturopathic medicine fits into the work we do together.

How I Integrate Naturopathic Medicine

Craniosacral Therapy is the primary modality I use in treatment. All of my clinical training and integrative experience form the foundation underneath it, informing how I see patterns and what I pay attention to—but the work itself is hands-on, slow, and rooted in the nervous system.

I don’t create complicated, all-at-once treatment plans. Most people already have more information, opinions, and advice than they can reasonably absorb. Adding eight more things to do rarely helps—it often creates more stress, and stress is the very thing we’re working to soften.

Instead, I offer small, focused pieces of guidance based on what becomes clear over time and what you identify as a priority. Sometimes this means naming one or two things that feel particularly important or timely. Other times, especially during a flare or difficult stretch, I may suggest a few specific supports to help you navigate it.

There is no pressure, no long protocols, and no expectation to take on more than you can realistically hold. Any guidance I offer is meant to be sustainable and meaningful—using my background in integrative medicine in a way that is clear, grounded, and not overwhelming. We use what matters most, at the moments when it can actually help.

What to Expect Over Time

Real change happens slowly, as your nervous system learns what safety and support feel like again. Each session gives us a chance to see what settles, what opens, and where your system wants to go next.

Many people benefit from a small series of sessions to build momentum. This gives your body time to:

  • release tension patterns
  • settle the nervous system
  • integrate changes
  • build trust and familiarity
  • reveal what’s most helpful next

I’d rather see someone a few times and make one meaningful recommendation than overwhelm them with ten on the first visit.

Choosing a Session Length

New patients begin with a 90-minute session so we have enough time to settle in, understand what your system needs, and move into the work without rushing.

For return visits, you can choose the amount of time that feels right. All sessions follow the same gentle pacing; the difference is how much time feels most nourishing for you that day.

  • 60 minutes — a shorter, contained session
  • 75 minutes — spacious and balanced; a good fit for most people
  • 90 minutes — the most unhurried option for deeper unwinding or when there’s more to explore

Choose whatever length feels right for you and your needs that day.

Who This Approach is For

This work is well suited for people who:

  • live with chronic illness or long-standing symptoms
  • feel worn down, tense, or overwhelmed
  • have sensitive or easily overstimulated nervous systems
  • are recovering from illness, medical stress, or difficult treatments
  • feel discouraged, overloaded, or exhausted by the amount of information they’ve been given
  • want a slower, quieter, more attuned approach to care

If you’re looking for a grounded, hands-on approach—and the space to settle, breathe, and heal at your own pace—this may be the right place for you.
