Craniosacral Therapy at Quiet Medicine

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on way of helping the body soften, unwind tension, and settle the nervous system.

The work is subtle and quiet — more like listening with the hands than manipulating tissue. Even so, the changes can be profound. Craniosacral Therapy reaches connective tissues and tension patterns that are often overlooked in conventional care but play a significant role in pain, mobility issues, nervous system overwhelm, and the lingering effects of illness or medical trauma.

What Craniosacral Therapy Is

Craniosacral Therapy works with the body’s natural rhythms and tension patterns — especially in the connective tissue (fascia), the cranial and spinal structures, and the nervous system. With light, steady contact, I listen for places where the tissues feel tight, guarded, or held, and support them in finding more ease.

This approach doesn’t push, force, or try to “fix” anything. Instead, it creates space for the system to unwind at its own pace — releasing long-held tension, easing stress patterns, and supporting your body’s ability to regulate itself.

How It Helps

Craniosacral Therapy can support people who live with:

  • chronic pain or tension
  • sensitive or overwhelmed nervous systems
  • symptoms that worsen with stress, exertion, or sensory overload
  • chronic illness and the long-term effects of complex health journeys
  • recovery from concussion or head-impact injuries
  • fatigue, dizziness, or sensory sensitivity
  • the physical imprint of emotional stress, grief, or medical trauma

Many people also notice a reduction in pain, pressure, and internal “guarding” as tissues soften and the nervous system shifts out of a defensive state.

What a Session Feels Like

Sessions at Quiet Medicine are spacious and unhurried.
We begin with a brief check-in, then shift into hands-on work.

During the session, you’ll lie comfortably on the table while I use very light touch to feel how your system is moving and where it may be holding tension. Much of the work happens in stillness — gentle holds that allow your body to soften, reorganize, and find its own rhythm.

Many people feel:

  • a deep sense of rest
  • warmth, softening, or gentle unwinding
  • quiet internal shifts
  • easier breathing
  • a calmer nervous system
  • a feeling of “coming back into themselves”

Some people also notice changes in pain, pressure, or range of motion as tissues release and the nervous system settles.

Why My Approach Is Different

My approach is shaped by both anatomical understanding and experiential listening — combining strong clinical training with a slow, gentle way of working that supports the body’s ability to regulate and reorganize.

As a naturopathic doctor with extensive anatomy, bodywork, and integrative medicine experience, I bring depth, presence, and careful attention to this work while staying rooted in what your system can truly hold. I don’t overwhelm people with protocols, supplement lists, or unrealistic expectations for overnight change.

Real change takes time, trust, and relationship.

I would much rather see someone a few times, understand how their system responds, and offer thoughtful, strategic guidance — instead of rushing or doing too much too soon. This slower pace is intentional. It honors the nervous system, respects sensitivity, and creates space for deeper, more sustainable shifts — especially for people recovering from chronic illness, medical trauma, or difficult health journeys.

Session Length

Craniosacral Therapy sessions are available in:

  • 60 minutes
  • 75 minutes
  • 90 minutes

Most of our time together is hands-on, with a brief check-in before and after the session so your system has the quiet it needs to settle and the support it needs to re-integrate and restore.
